1. Order Cancellation by the Customer

You may cancel your order free of charge as long as it has not yet been dispatched from our warehouse. Once a tracking number has been generated and the parcel has been handed over to the courier, the order cannot be cancelled — only returned (subject to our Return Policy).

How to Cancel

  • WhatsApp: Send your order ID to +91-XXXXX-XXXXX with the message “Cancel order”.
  • Email: Write to hello@tastelokal.in with subject line “Cancel order #YOUR_ORDER_ID”.
  • My Account: Log in and click “Cancel” next to the order at /my-account/orders/ if the order is still in “Processing” status.

Cancellation requests received before dispatch are typically processed within 2–4 hours during working hours (10 AM – 7 PM, Mon–Sat).

2. Order Cancellation by TasteLokal

We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion in cases including (but not limited to):

  • The product is out of stock or no longer available.
  • A pricing or product description error is detected after order placement.
  • The shipping address is in a non-serviceable area.
  • We suspect fraudulent activity, payment failure, or violation of these Terms.
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, courier disruptions).

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, a full refund will be initiated within 24 hours and credited within 5–7 business days.

3. Refund Timeline

Refunds are always processed to the original payment method. The actual credit date depends on your bank or wallet — we provide a transaction reference once initiated so you can follow up with them if needed.

4. Partial Cancellations

If you wish to cancel only some items from a multi-item order, please contact us before dispatch. We will refund the value of the cancelled items (including their proportional share of shipping if applicable). After dispatch, partial cancellations are not possible — please use the return process instead.

5. Failed Payments & Pending Orders

If your payment fails or remains pending for more than 4 hours, the order is auto-cancelled and your account is not charged. Any amount mistakenly debited from your account will be auto-reversed by your bank within 5–7 business days. Contact us if it doesn’t and we will follow up with Razorpay on your behalf.

6. Refund Status

To check the status of your refund:

  • Log in to your account at /my-account/orders/.
  • Or message us on WhatsApp with your order ID — we’ll share the refund reference and Razorpay status.

7. Disputes

If you do not receive your refund within the timelines above, please write to hello@tastelokal.in with subject line “Refund dispute — Order #YOUR_ORDER_ID”. Our team will respond within 24 hours and resolve the issue within 7 working days. For unresolved grievances, please contact our Grievance Officer (see Privacy Policy § 10).
